Trauma Center's Trauma-Sensitive Yoga

**Under Construction!**
My Yoga Journey
My yoga practice started humbly in 2005 on my living room while in recovery from an emergency c-section. Since then, I have continued to practice yoga more or less frequently. In 2017, I completed my first training in trauma-informed, resilience-based yoga and realized I wanted to further explore how yoga can support emotional and mental health.
I have since completed a variety of yoga-based training to integrate into my clinical practice, including level 1 in Yoga Calm and yoga-based DBT skills.
In 2024, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training as well as the Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator training.
The TCTSY facilitator training pushed me into a 500-hour yoga teacher title and I am now happy to provide TCTSY in individual and group sessions.
I also offer private traditional yoga lessons and instruct yoga classes in the community as a yoga teacher.

Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.
